Visit of Slovene business delegation focused on Digitalisation in Banking/FinTech
On 23rd and 24th January 2019, the delegation of Slovenian bankers and information technology companies developing digital solutions is visiting London. The delegation's visit is organized by the British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, in association with the Slovenian Bank Association, the Public Agency Spirit Slovenia, the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, and in conjunction with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in London.
The aim of the visit is to learn about newest trends and innovations in the field of banking and banking technology, with the emphasis on digitalization. More information on the programme of the visit is available here.
As part of the visit, the roundtable titled “The future of banking in light of innovation/digitalisation” was held on Wednesday, 23th of January. The topics of discussion were among other topics influence of new technologies and innovations on business models of banks and other financial institutions, and cooperation between the financial industry and FinTech companies. The roundtable was followed by the reception hosted by Slovenian Ambassador Tadej Rupel, attended by the business delegation from Slovenia and representatives of British, Slovenian and international business community in London.
