Posthumous decoration of the Medal of Merit to John Corsellis for his selfless help for refugees fleeing from Slovenia after World War II.

On the 4th of February 2019 Ambassador Rupel delivered a posthumous Medal of Merit to John Corsellis's widow Ann Corsellis for his selfless help for refugees fleeing from Slovenia after World War II which was awarded to him by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor in accordance with indent seven of paragraph one of Article 107 of the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia and point 5 of Article 7 and Article 10 of the Decorations of the Republic of Slovenia Act.

John Corsellis was a humanitarian worker during World War II who provided selfless help to refugees in several camps under the auspices of the British 8th Army.
